no-one on chat

I have been on the chat here on most evenings for a couple of years now. From time to time a new person comes along and chats three or four times a week. Then their main questions and concerns have been addressed so they come on once a week or so and then just disappear. I have been happy to "mind" the chat room as even if one person is helped by my being there for them I am happy.
For the last fortnight no-one has been on chat when I have been there usually from 10pm on. Maybe now people can chat on messenger or twitter or facebook this chat is not attractive to them Or maybe people aren't finding the site at all. It is a pity as we all need to talk to someone who understands and with my Mum in late stage dementia/Alzheimers and my husband with vascular dementia I surely do understand.
So maybe, like the many people who have done so before me it is time to move on. I still host a caregiver chat on Strokenet, Tuesday nights New York time, noon Wednesday my time, and post on the English site Alzheimer's Talking Point and the American site Alzheimers Weekly but it is not the same as talking to another Aussie.
I am in need of someone to talk to from time to time as the going gets tough. At the moment Ray is in respite for two weeks. He comes home again next Monday, so after a week of "freedom" I am a lot calmer. But he will be back, my stress levels will go up and I will need a listening ear.
Unless we have a sudden influx of happy chatterboxes I think this is is not going to be the place it happens.
