Hi Keep missing you all

A page in the diary "the carer got sick - no help for them"
Written by Faye Wednesday, 27 January 2010 00:23

Hi, As you can imagine life is a hectic round of working, caring, and doctors appointments at the moment so just don't sem to have the time to catch up with anyone lately, will keep trying, as Sue and Laurel, you have both been an inspiration to me, each night I say a prayer asking that your load be lightened just a little.
No change in hubby yet early days, stessful time, had news today that afriend of mine has only a month at the most to live, got the Big C only 50, 3 youngish children, so there is always some-one worse off. Another close friend of mine has been battling MS for some years now, only to be told she now has ovarian cancer, she is moving to Qld to be near her family. So each day from now on when I wake up I will plant my feet on the floor and thank God for giving me this life and for the new day and the new challenges that hubby and I will face together as there is always some-one who is worse off, at least we have life and while there is life there is hope.

Hello Faye. Sorry I am not still on when you come on in the early hours, I am generally up till midnight but do need some beauty sleep...lots... actually, I think I am just getting ugly sleep right now.

After talking to no-one for a while I just had a half hour chat with marty, he and his mum are about the same he said. He can't get an official diagnosis as his mum cancelled the trip to the geriatrician and he needs to see her to make a diagnosis.

My mum has had another fall but the good news is that she is walking again. Hasn't really walked much since the hip operation last June. She will be much better for a little exercise. She seems to have recovered without defects from the seizure she had two weeks ago.

Ray and I have been taking things easy during January. I hoped with some peace and quiet and calm around us that he would be more easy to care for and it generally seems that way. Unfortunately things will get busy again in February as things we belong to start up again.

Look after yourself, do as much as you can while Jim is still able to join in. Don't take life too seriously and remember whatever is happening at your house is "normal" for today.

(((Hugs))) from Sue.
