Yseterday was the first day of the medication "dimebon" we all pray for miracles, am hoping this will be ours, the doctors were fantastic and the care and investigations Jim is getting is unbelievable, have no regrets we chose this path, while there is life there is hope, I have always believed that, so this is a test of that belief.
We have a long road ahead which I could not face without the support of my wonderful children, I am truly blessed.
Now the watching and waiting for any changes or improvement start we have no idea whether Jim is getting a sugar pill or the real thing, but we will wait watch and pray.
Even if it does not work at least we will know we tried everything, we put our faith in the wonderful researchers, and hey sometimes miracles do happen, the Aussie spirit never say no-hope of our doctors is the strongest belief I have. I recall so many wonderful things they have done penicillin,(Aussie)Sister Kenny and her treatment for polio,(Outback Aussie nurse) the heliobacter virus cured by an Aussie,(gave himself the virus to prove a point) so come on Aussie come on............LOL - whatever the outcome we gave it our best shot!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Faye
Long time since your last visit.
Hope these drugs work, I know there is a lot more research going on in this field. It has been said that around the world they expect a lot of the baby boomers to be getting dementia, due to the rising cost of this for each country a lot more money is been put into reseach. What stage is Jim at? I really hope this drug works for Jim and that you both can enjoy your retirement as planned. Lawrie and I take one day at a time. I am happy with that.
Keep smiling Laurel
