Stages of Dementia

Today we have adapted to the concept of people suffering from different "phases" or "stages" of dementia. And we know that not everyone with dementia goes through all stages - some consequently never become "severely demented" or react to their disease in a manner that is burden to the people around them. Difficult behaviour may also be due to the fact that the people around them - society surrounding the person suffering from dementia - are not providing enough attention, protection or stimulation.
