Homecare

(16-12-2009)

If you have problems with practical, everyday tasks such as cleaning, shopping or laundry, or handling personal hygiene or attire, for example, the municipality can offer help with this.

The municipality must make a concrete, individual assessment of your need for help. Long-term homecare is free. You should contact the municipality, after which a visitor will assess your need for help. It could, for example, be:

  • Homecare
  • Visiting nurse
  • Medical dosage
  • Meal service
  • Linen service/Diaper service
  • Cleaning/Thorough housecleaning
  • Nurturing visits

Today you can choose between municipal homecare and private companies that the municipality has made arrangements with. If help has been approved for you, you have the option of choosing an assistant yourself; however, this must be approved by the muncipality.
