Homecare

(18-08-2005)

If you have problems with practical, everyday tasks such as cleaning, shopping, laundry, or handling personal hygiene etc, homecare may be necessary.

Services may include:

  • Homecare
  • Visiting nurse
  • Meal service
  • Linen service
  • Cleaning

Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs) are available and the fees are subsidised by the Australian Government. Each package is individually tailored and you can get access to a variety of services which can help you to continue to live in your home.

To access a CACP you first need to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team. Then, if a CACP is appropriate for your needs, you will be referred to a service coordinator.

Carelink will be able to provide you with details of help available. Call 1800 052 222
