At some point, the person with dementia will have problems getting dressed. That applies to changing clothes, putting them on in the right order and picking out appropriate clothing for the weather.

Here are some tips:

• Remove the dirty clothes in the evening and put the clean ones out.
• Lay the clothes out in the order they need to be put on.
• Only leave clothes that are appropriate for that time of year in the wardrobe.
• Pick out clothing and shoes that are easy to put on and take off.
