It is important to remember that the choice to either be open or hide the disease affects both you and your immediate family. It also has an effect on your relationship with friends, acquaintances, work colleagues, boss, etc.

At some point, other people will not be able to avoid noticing that you have changed because in most cases, the disease deteriorates. The changes that take place in you will affect the people around you.

When choosing to either be open about or hide your disease, remember that it is important to consult with your loved ones. There are advantages and disadvantages to both sides that each individual must consider.
